How Gunns is protecting native wildlife at the Bell Bay Mill from roadkill
26 September 2008
Gunns Limited has imposed stringent environmental controls to protect native wildlife at its Bell Bay Pulp Mill site
Gunns is proactively implementing measures to reduce risk to fauna from the development
Gunns has met requirements from the Government with a three month monitoring program
Instead of waiting for results of future monitoring, Gunns have immediately taken steps to ensure the risks to native wildlife, however minimal, are reduced
Gunns is happy the Australian Greens have highlighted this aspect of the project
This is a clear example of Gunns going the extra mile to deliver new environmental benchmarks
