Hinman, Wright and Manser was founded in Launceston in the early nineteen hundreds specialising in house building.

The labour force peaked at one hundred and thirty in 1914 and has hovered around the fifty mark since the early seventies.

In 1976 Gunns Kindred Timber Industries Limited acquired the company which currently operates throughout Northern Tasmania in housing, commercial, water treatment plants, civil foundations and earth works.

The company is highly regarded for the quality of workmanship and high standard of project management which result in the majority of projects being completed on or before the scheduled completion date.

The company has built its reputation on highly experienced, stable labour force and commitment to the training of tomorrow's tradesmen - apprentices who are encouraged to avail themselves of available opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge of the building and construction industry.

In November 1997, Hinman Wright & Manser's Quality Management System was third-party certified by N.A.T.A. to the International and Australian Quality Management Standard AS/NZS I.S.O. 9002: 1994.
